[SOLVED] GroupJive: Removing Category link from Group listing

8 years 1 week ago - 8 years 1 week ago #287065 by catchupnews
Site users are not allowed to create new Categories... they just join existing Groups. How can I hide the category link in the Group listing?

Not sure what hiding the category link has to do with not being able to make categories. No one can make categories from frontend. They are backend only created. Categories are for easier navigation and categorization. If you don't want categories then simply don't assign groups to a category. Otherwise you can try hiding the link in the group header with CSS or by modifying the GJ template files. Right click and inspect element on it to find its CSS class.

It appears I didn't make myself clear enough. Anyway your response was very helpful. I didn't know I can create a group without assigning it to a category. Never considered the 'Uncategorized' option. Thanks for drawing my attention to this. Much appreciated!
