Hi,

Just wondering - I've made some modifications to CB, don't want to upgrade to the latest version and want to keep the legacy CB plugins. On my Admin site Control Panel - I have red update notifications up the top that I'd like to disable.

I've deleted the CB Updater (in Extensions > Manage > Update Sites), have disabled Plugin Version checking and have set Version Checking to manual in CB Config > Integrations. The red updates are still showing up the top on the Control Panel.

How do I disable these?

You've disabled CBs update checkers, but not Joomlas. To disable Joomlas you need to go to Extensions > Manage > Update Sites and disable CBs update site.

Regarding your modifications. What exactly are you changing? A lot of the time core changes can be entirely avoided by simply utilizing the many triggers available throughout CB in combination with CB Auto Actions acting on those triggers. As is you're making a very serious longevity issue for your self. Your install is going to be a nightmare to maintain for your self and anyone who maintains it after you. I am strongly apposed to core modifications and much prefer to hear why people are making such modifications to see if we can do something to avoid needing them.

Thanks Kyle, I tried this but it didn't work - after disabling the "Community Builder Package Update Site" in Update Sites - I go back to Joomla Control Panel and the warning still shows. On checking in the Update Sites - the updater has re-enabled itself.

The update checker module re-enables the update site in Joomla. Navigate to Extensions > Modules and filter to Administrator modules then unpublish "CB Update Notification" and it shouldn't re-enable it anymore. I think we still re-enable on install though.
