[SOLVED] Considering replacing Kunena with CB Activity

I'm considering replacing the Kunena forum with the CB activity.
The reasons:

1. We're not that big a club that needs forum to facilitate large discussions
2. We could place the activity module on the frontpage, making it simpler to use for our users

Question is, is there a way to notify a user of a reply or comment on a post, will it have to be done via 'Auto-Action' or is there something built in?
If it's done via auto-actions, how do I filter on which users? I meen a post has an author, if two people comment on it, there are now three people needing notifications of replies and comments etc.?

lol, I nominate this question of the year for 2016. At this time, no not really. It will be possible in CB Activity 4.0.0. The reason it's not really doable is the lack of information given to the push triggers. This will be improved in CB Activity 4.0.0 where I'll be trying to make sure enough information is available to be able to grab the comment target user id.

Don't think chained notifications like that will ever be possible to be honest. Not unless something was specifically designed to do that, which is possible, but that won't be implemented into CB Activity.

Also note CB Activity 4.0.0 is getting push notifications. This is like the notifications icon on Facebook and other social sites. I'll also be reviewing browser push notification API as well to see if that can be supported.
