CB login module redirecting to front page after login and not to requested page

I searched but these keywords are too frequently used.

I noticed CBlogin is redirecting users to the front page after login and not to the member-only page that was originally requested. I checked the module settings and the option for "Login Redirection URL" is blank.

Also, this is my setup for the CB plugin:


Any help appreciated.

CB 2.3, CBsubs 4.3, PHP 7.1, J! 3.9.X

Returning to the previous page is not a guarantee. If the &return= is not present in the URL clicked then CB can't return you to it as no return was given to CB. As far as I'm aware only core Joomla components bother with &return=, but any extension or URL can utilize it. What URL were you trying to navigate to? How is its access protected?

The page in question is a registered-only Joomla article. Since this is a hard-coded link, I will try to add the return URL suffix, thanks

that didn't work - any way I can get Joomla to act on these pages and not CB?

Disable CBs system plugin within Extensions > Plugins temporarily then see if it sends you to Joomlas login page and after login if it returns you back to the appropriately location. If Joomla login won't do it then neither will CBs basically.
