Autocomplete in search box was created by rbuelund
Hi

I want to use CB to store a list of companies. I need to be able to search on the company name (profile name) and get suggestions/autocomplete in the search box. Is that in any way possible ?

We've no auto complete functionality. You'd need to code something like that.

You'd likely need a new fieldtype plugin for that. As it'll need custom ajax response handling. Otherwise you can look into CB Core Fields Ajax as an example of how to extend all fields ajax response handling as well as overriding display/edit views to add your jQuery specifically to an input. You maybe able to do this entirely with jQuery added to the page and a auto action as the ajax URL though.

Yes, but not anytime soon. We will not be adding major features to our field class until after we've rewritten how fields are coded.
