How do I update Community Builder to the latest build?

Will the update change any of my settings?

Your version is
2.1.2+build.2017.01.23.20.23.56.a4fce17be

Latest version
2.1.2+build.2017.02.08.01.14.28.ec3d63d1f

I have downloaded the latest version, backed up my site and database but am nervous about performing a full install of the package.

You update simply by installing. You can monitor progress below to see what goes into a nightly build.

forge.joomlapolis.com/projects/cb/issues

All tickets marked solved are in latest nightly. A ticket is created for every merge request into CB master branch so nothing can change in CB without a ticket. You can sort by % Done to sort with most recently solved tickets first.

No you shouldn't lose any settings and yes you should always backup before installing an update on a live site.
