I'ld like to either use the tooltip icon or when klicking or fingerpointing the field entry.
How can I switch off tooltip to appear when one points into the entry field?
On mobiles (smartphones vertical in this case) pointing a field makes the keyboard and tooltip to appear at same time.
Depending on the lenghts of tooltip this leads to fields and other data being covered.

You can't. The binding of tooltip to the input is hardcoded into CBs fields output. Will review adding a layout override parameter for disabling input tooltips.
