File field type not displaying successfully uploaded filename

CB Version 2.1.2
All CB Plugins current and recently updated

I have a file field type for registered users to upload a pdf. (All cb fields including this one are edited by user using Ajax - don't use the normal profile edit method at all)

The file is uploading to the default location ok however just recently the field no longer displays the filename when viewed in the user profile either for the logged in user or an admin. This means the user is unsure of a success and repeatedly attempts the upload resulting in dozens of files in the users folder. There is a limit on filesize but that's not at fault. There is also autoaction emailing user and admin of upload but thats unlikely to be related either.

How the filename outputs is a parameter. Edit your file field within CB > Field Management and under Parameters > Display adjust "Filename" as needed. Leave blank for it to output whatever is stored. Aside from that you'll need to better describe what you mean by it's not displaying. As in is not displaying after an ajax save or not displaying no matter what (even after a refresh)?
