Ok, so what you're needing is the "Update On" functionality to work in profile display. That's currently not possible. The update on only works in profile edit and registration at this time. I've already added a feature ticket to review allowing it to work also in profile view. So for example you'd ajax edit a dropdown and it'd cause the query field to update its display. Don't have a workaround to suggest other than you'd have a custom code a solution that refreshes the page or something of the sort after updating the field.
