I have a site with CB 2.1.2+build.2017.06.23.22.16.38.2c6bbd64f and Joomla 3.7.3. It's a site for customers only, so homepage only shows CB login page (ACL: Guest).
When i login in one browser window and try to open the site in another browser window I get a 403 error. When I change ACL to public there is no problem, but I choose guest so that loginpage is invisible after login. I made a separate menu-item with ACL Registered to logout.

What are you trying to access in the other window? Just the home page? Please note CB has nothing to do with login state or session. Once the form is submit it's handed off to Joomla after we fire some CB triggers for login process. Joomla handles login state and session entirely.

Yes. I just want to reach the homepage. Tested it with a homepage with default Joomla login page assigned to guest, and this also results in a 403 error. So thank you for your reaction. I'll try to find out more about it on the joomla forum.
You could have your menu item that's visible set to Guest then have another set to Public that isn't displayed on a menu module. That might work to prevent the access issues.
