Hello,

I hope you can help me with this issue. When I go to my own profile, then to the friends/connections tab, and I click on the link of one of the connections in there, I end up getting my own profile again.

When the URL for my own profile is ... /index.php/en/profile

And I click on a connection, then it loads an URL like ... /index.php/en/profile/justin

But it still shows my own profile page.

(This issue does not occur when I click on a connection in "manage my connections")

Any idea what could be the cause of this?
It was already the case like that back when I was still on Joomla 2.5, but as I had other more pressing issues to fix, I didn't look into it further. I hoped that upgrading to Joomla 3 would fix this, but the issue remains nonetheless.

So you're clicking on a profile in the Connections tab of a user other than your self? Seams fine on our demo site below.

demo.cbdemosites.com/

Edit the Joomla menu item with the alias of "profile" and ensure the User parameter is empty and that the menutype is correctly set to Community Builder > User Profile.

Aside from that I'm not sure. Are you using 3rd party SEF extension? Try disabling SEF entirely and see if issue persists.

Hello,

Thanks for your reply.

The profile menu link is set correctly, and the User parameter is empty (always has been).

When I disable SEF, then clicking on another user in the connections tab does work normally. When I enable SEF again, the problem returns...

I don't have any 3rd party SEF extensions installed. I double checked, but the only SEF plugin in my Joomla is the default "System - SEF".

I can't help but think back to the GroupJive problem I had some time ago, which also wasn't working with SEF enabled, although that is working fine now.

Try deleting your Joomla menu item to CBs profile page and recreating it. I don't know what to suggest. For some reason the &user= value is being lost from your URL, which would be the only reason for your issue. If recreating it doesn't work then ensure CBs system plugin within Extensions > Plugins is public, published, and ordered first and retry.

Hello,

Thanks for the quick reply.

I went to the profile menu link, and simply re-created it as a CB profile menu, and after that it seems to work normally again. I had no idea the solution could be this easy, thanks!
