Are you saying that ALL language overrides throughout the Community Builder system and plugins is now to be done in the CB language plugins? Can we safely uninstall the CBSubs language plugins?
No, you would lose translations for CBSubs then since language files for CBSubs are not included in CB language plugins at this time.
This is on the same domain, but a different Joomla installation for the Spanish language.
The Front end has a spanish joomla translation, the back end is still in english
I installed the CB ES-es language, and everything was translated into Spanish,
then I did a few overrides,
then you told me about the Language Plugin, I installed it and I translated there the Activities and the CBpaidsubscription pluin.
But Those 2 strings I couldn't make them display in the front end, so those 2 strings,
I changed them first from the CB Spanish, that didn't work,
so then I made and override, that didn't work, then,
I changed them from the from the file in the Language plugin, that didn't work,
so then I changed them from the Main english file, that didn't work.
I run out of ideas, only to hard code them on the PHP, but I would hate to do that.
And yes I could uninstall whatever you need, everything is backed up.
Let me know what do you need me to do.
CBSubs doesn't translate without a CBSubs language plugin. CB doesn't translate without a CB language plugin. CB won't load its language plugin without a Joomla language for it. It all chains together and it all is dependent on what language Joomla says CB should load. To translate all 3 you'd need a Spanish Joomla, CB, and CBSubs language plugin. Regarding CB language overrides see the below.

Regarding where this works it works in both CB and CBSubs language plugins. For CBSubs it'll only work if you've latest build otherwise overrides in CBSubs language files won't load. My earlier comment about this not working in CBSubs language plugins was wrong as I forgot I had already fixed that in a nightly CBSubs build.
The '[ITEMS_ALIASES] for [USERNAME]' language string is the "Payment basket item text" parameter within CBSubs > Settings > Display > Baskets and that language string won't work if you changed that parameter.
