[SOLVED] Drop down (Multi-select) conditions to select ACY Mailing List

7 years 1 month ago - 7 years 1 month ago #296853 by shanenefdt
Hi!
Following the tutorials and reading the documentation, I am now investigating the possibility of being able to provide a facility of a drop down multi-select box in the user profile at registration. The intention is to facilitate their selection of their particular "Industry Activity" from a list which then would automatically subscribe them to the relevant ACY Mailing list thereby automating the process instead of checking two boxes during the registration process.
Is this at all possible with the current versions?

Newsletter wise it's better UX to use the checkboxes. It may not be immediately clear what the dropdown multiselect is representing. With that said yes it's doable. You'd need to use CB Auto Actions to subscribe them to the AcyMailing newsletters based off their selections. You'd need 1 auto action per newsletter since each multiselect value would represent a newsletter. You'd then condition for the values selected using a Does Contain operator since multiselects include all the values selected in their substitution.
