[SOLVED] Auto Action Activity doesn't post to the activity stream

We are currently using activity instead of a very little used forum, just a quick 'posting wall' on the club page to give small comments and stuff like that.
And the idea was that the posts would be made to that 'wall' by the club (user 17), whishing happy birthday to the member with a birthday.
If I leave owner empty, it's the user who has a birthday that posts to the wall, which is not what I want.
But if I enter an owner as 17, it's the diving club that are wished happy birthday.
The congrats text is like this
Tillykke til [name]
Can I set the owner to 17, and then substitute the [name] with the person who has the birthday somehow?

The other posts that user 17 makes are 'Welcome messages' to new members, and that doesn't make any sense that the users themselves makes posts that says welcome to myself.

I also see a difference when posting directly, and when posting through the activity.
If I want to add 'Felling like' or something like that, the activity posts it in the text, whereas the direct post places it in the top.

Yes, this is done by using [action_user]. The Owner parameter does a user substitution switch. This means substitutions will be based off the id of Owner. All parameters that do a user switch note this in latest release in addition to the User parameter under the Global tab explaining [action_user]. You can utilize it as follows.

Eventually you'll be able to make system activity posts, which is really what you're needing but a system user isn't supported yet.

Activity can't have 2 titles. If you supply a title and supply an action such as "feeling like" then the action will be appended to the bottom of the post.

Ahaa, gotcha, works like a charm, I just had to use:
[cb:userdata field="name" user="[action_user]" /]
instead, then it looks just like I want it to!
