Hi Kyle,
Currently, there is a UX problem that may be solved very quickly. It would be WAY more useful if the whole DIV turned into a button (or at least the lower part or something) that brings you directly to a URL. Currently the only way to achieve this is by putting in an image, in which case the whole image turns into a link (so users cannot miss clicking on it).

Would it not be possible to turn the whole white part of a notification into a link (ie the main one, which is of primary interest to the user)? Other links (like in the system action for GJ) would still be there but it would be ONLY their own div that has the link in it. My users cannot find the link in the notifications (or at least have difficulty with it)

That would make it way simpler to use.

It's template driven so you can modify it to do whatever you like. You can make it entirely a link if you want, but that's going to break other usages like inserted buttons for some activity or media that's inserted into the notification. The link should just be a part of the notification title as is the case for most of the notifications. I'm unsure how your users are unable to find links unless you've deliberately made the link color the same color as your text. Example as follows where it shows clear link and text separation.
