CB Menu like demo site was created by nuimage
1. How can I move the links so they look like your demo site: demo.cbdemosites.com/profiles/susan

2. There is an extra space on the home page for some reason. There is no module there or anything. How can I remove it or is there a reason it's there?

Move those tabs to "Canvas Main Middle" position then set their display to "Tab Menu" or "Nested Tab Menu" within CB > Tab Management.

No idea, suggest contacting the developer of your Joomla template. Probably an empty module still rendering or a module position in your Joomla template still rendering even if empty.

I'm assuming you're using MyCommunity then. What module position are you trying to put the login module in? That spacing you're seeing is due to the login module overflowing. Looks like you're trying to use position-0, which was designed to place the search input. It does not have enough space for the login module to go there. You would likely have to use position-1, which is where the top menu navigation typically goes then try using some CSS to position it to the right side.
