We do not allow self-registration on our site, so I cannot use the T&C function.
Instead, I would like to show Terms and conditions on first login, where the user has to accept to be able to proceed.
The acceptance needs to be stored in the db.

Can I do this with standard CB and/or CB plugins?

We've no functionality for that. Best I can suggest is to send them to your terms and conditions page using the first login redirect parameter within CB > Configuration > Registration, but as far as obtaining consent you'll need some means of doing that (e.g. could have a link to profile edit, 3rd party form extension, etc..).
