CB Activity Parser and smileys was created by timstohr
Hi Kyle,
How can I make it so that smileys are parsed by activity? I have turned on the BB Code parser and somehow smileys are not parsed.

There are no BBCode smileys. Emotes should already be enabled under the Parser tab within CB Activity > Parameters > Activity; if not be sure you've enabled them either globally or for the specific stream you're wanting them on. To output a emote you need to include its Emote tag within CB Activity > Emotes surrounded by : (e.g.). Eventually a dropdown will be implemented for easy inserting of emotes, but for now you basically have to know their tags.

Hi I checked already, and the parser was always switched on. Btw it does not work on your demo site either...

Scrap the above message... It works but the emoticons are difficult to use. Most people use :) nowadays for the smiley... I meant : )

Actually just thinking about it. You could have as parser the following combination "space colon paranthesis" or "space colon D" or "space semi colon paranthesis" and stuff like that. That would work as the combination with the space beforehand does no exist somewhere else.

The :EMOTE: format is standardized, but most people don't know it because they're used to dropdowns for selecting emotes. I suppose I should say was standardized as now a days unicode characters are being used, which CB Activity will likely be updated to used for Emotes (already does for a few using fontawesome). Emotes don't require a space between them and other characters. They'll work fine for inline usage. Example as follows.

Eventually a dropdown will be added for quick and easy emote inserts. Looks like there's an odd issue with URL parsing through for attachments; will review fixing for next release.
