bug (???) notifications not work in profile, when notify-modul is used

as you see on the screenshot, i use 3 modules in the right col to show

messages
notifications (as a stream; new only)
online (latest regs)

this is to keep the user informed, when he is reading articles and doesn`t see his profile

so far, this seems to work fine.

when i change content (left col) to profile per menu, i get info about 2 new messages in modul and in profil-icon
this doesn*t work with notifications. they are shown only in the modul. the icon in profile never works!

when i turn off the modul "notification) in the right col, my profil shows the number of notifications in profile


so. it seems, that messages are working on an other way, then notifications.
i guess, notifications are marked as "read/seen" when they are shown in the stream of the modul and so they aren't shown as counts to the profile-symbol, that notifies about new/unread

You're viewing the notifications by outputting its stream directly so yes they are being marked as read. It's working as expected. The notifications are typically used entirely with the button popup usage.

i like the idea of having one eye on the stream while clicking around.
perhaps it could be an idea to insert an option (toggle switch) in a further version?

For read state? There's no plans for that at this time. Read state is automated when the notification stream is read. It does not track individual notification read state.

Within CB Activity > Parameters > General set "Notifications" to "Disable" to disable the profile icon for notifications.
