Did you change any of the parameters from their defaults or just publish CB Gallery in CB > Plugin Management? Seams to be working perfectly fine in my tests out of the box locally and on our demo site below.
If SEF is enabled try disabling it and see if issue persists.

Were you using 3rd party SEF or Joomla SEF? CB Gallery is tested working fine with Joomla SEF. I'm not sure how it'd behave with 3rd party usages.
