Invalid address (punyEncode) root@localhost

As of an update in Joomla this error message is now showing whenever an article is created. I have a notification script through autoactions. I realize that this is likely not related to Community Builder but any help on understanding what this error is would be appreciated.

Sounds like you never configured a valid from address for your mail server settings in Joomla global configuration or the email address attached to a users account is invalid. root@localhost is indeed an invalid email address and will throw mailer errors.
