CB Substitutions do not work was created by crealiagroup
Latest CB, plugin content bot and joomla. Php 7.0

Substitutions used in article are not rendered as expected and output is only something like [firstname] instead of John, for example.

Ensure CB Content Bot is installed and published in Extensions > Plugins. That's all that's necessary for substitutions to work in Joomla articles or anywhere Joomla content prepare is used.

Update.

I see that the error is related to the template. An article override avoid it to work correctly. What's the PHP code that execute the plugins inside the article view?

It shouldn't have anything to do with the template. The onContentPrepare Joomla event is fired before the template view is output. Specifically it's fired in the below.

/components/com_content/views/article/view.html.php

onContentPrepare is what our content plugin acts on to run the article through substitutions.
