[SOLVED] Updating my profile requires me to verify password and enter current password

Updating my profile requires me to verify password and enter current password, I can understand that any changes would require password but is there a way of not requiring the either of them. The profile already has my password starred. I have seen other similar posts which refers to auto fill is this the same issue ?

Probably your browser or a password-management extension auto-fills the old password, despite the HTML markup telling it to not fill it out ?

I have just realised the reason , the autofill thinks thats the password field when it should be a password change field, hence the verify password. I will get to grips with this eventually
