[SOLVED] Force change of password ? was created by rbuelund
Is there any way of forecing a regular password change for users - eg vevery 6 month. This is often a must have in regards of GDPR - so if this is not possible with for example an auto-action, then this is a suggestion for a new security plugin for Community Builder. It some cases it would also be necessay to store the previous passwords to not let the user use them once again.

There are no GDPR requirements to frequently reset passwords.

At any rate you can use Joomlas built in password reset feature which will ask for a new password on next login. You can toggle it on per-user by editing them in CB > User Management or use the batch tool in Users > Manage (we don't currently have a batch tool for this in CB > User Management). I'm not aware of a way to automate this on a schedule unless you tried doing it with CB Auto Actions, but there's likely a Joomla extension already available for that.

Well GDPR does not say it directly, but as a consequence of GDPR, the health system in Denmark dictates that systems mus force users to change password every given periode :-)
I found a plugin for Joomla that also supports CB.
