disable smileys

Is there a way to completely disable smileys from CB please?

Disable them where exactly? It is not possible to disable unicode emoticons.

Basically I wouldn't like to use the like function on the activity stream wall.

One thing I would like to adjust is to hide tooltips, for example at group creation it's a bit disturbing to have them.

Is it possible to switch them off please?

So you just want to turn off Likes? You can turn that off within CB Activity > Activity > Likes > Display. As for CB Activity Emotes those can be turned off under CB Activity > Activity > Parser. This should turn both off globally.

Use the language overrides feature shown below and translate them to empty strings. That will suppress their display.
