As a side note to the above if you decide to go with activity_onAfterNotificationEntityStore usage you can create CB fields to allow users to condition whether they want to receive the notification or not. This is configured directly in CB Activity > Notifications.

Additionally for CB 3.x we plan to provide a centralized notifications implementation. This would let users directly subscribe to SMS, Email. PM, and/or On-Site notifications. So we do have plans for the future to improve on all of this.

This method would be great, so I would love to get it to work. A single auto-action for all notifications emailed!
I just added this new AutoAction to these specs, but it doesn't result in an email.
I double checked the email settings from the site since upgrade, site email settings are good.
Any other ideas you may have?

The emails seam to be sending perfectly fine for me. Did you turn on any notifications in CB Activity > Notifications?

Yes! I didn't notice the Notifications Disable Enable and Replace at the bottom under GroupJive. Thanks that's sending the emails now!
I'll test it out a bit today.

I wasn't very clear in my last reply... No, I didn't enable the notifications.

So another question... If I want the initial GroupJive Activity to send just to the group members what do I select?
All Users (sends to the entire user list)
Connections (I presume just sends to the user's connections)
Followers (The group users must also be followers of the group?)
Moderators
What I want is the notification (and the email) to send to everyone in the group. Maybe I could modify the User parameters you sent: if ( ! $variables->getPublished() ) {
return [];
}

return $variables->getRecipients();
