Newly uploaded portrait or canvas images will not be displayed

Users can upload images but they are not displayed. The images are available in the backend. How can I enable images uploaded by the user to automatically appear in their profile?

Ok, found it Require Upload Image Approval in Settings. Can be deleted. THX

For those with a similar issue you can turn upload approval on/off within CB > Field Management by editing the "avatar", "canvas", or any image field then adjusting the settings under Parameters > Image Limits.
