On "./components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/fr-fr/language.php", lines 2112 & 2113, there is an inversion between the singular and plural sentences :

Currently, we have :
'YOU_HAVE_COUNT_NEW_PRIVATE_MESSAGE'    =>      'Vous avez [count] nouveaux messages privé.',
'YOU_HAVE_COUNT_NEW_PRIVATE_MESSAGES'   =>      'Vous avez [count] nouveau message privé.',

The correct sentences are :
'YOU_HAVE_COUNT_NEW_PRIVATE_MESSAGE'    =>      'Vous avez [count] nouveau message privé.',
'YOU_HAVE_COUNT_NEW_PRIVATE_MESSAGES'   =>      'Vous avez [count] nouveaux messages privés .',
