Notifications are not working

Notifications are not working was created by techywave
Hi,
I realized that notifications are not working, the notification icon in the user profile bar doesn't show any related activities.

Tested with connections, like, share, comments.

I checked the cb activity plugin notifications which is normally enabled.

Do caching from the server could prevent notifications from displaying in the notifications menu?

Where do I need to check and how to solve it?

Are there any notifications stored in CB Activity > Notifications for the user you're testing? This will help know if they're just not displaying for some reason or if they're actually not being created at all.

It seems that the notifications are not enabled by default for all user.
I have to enable notifications individually from the control panel

1- How do I enable notifications for all users by default?
2- Additionally, how do I make the top bar which includes the notification and message icons, visible on all CB pages including those I created menus for them? because it doesn't show except on the profile page. (attached a screeshot)

1- How do I enable notifications for all users by default?

Did you explicitly enable those notifications or did you set them to be dependent on a CB field?

If dependent on a CB field then the CB field would need to either be displayed on registration with a registration default value set or you'll need to use CB Auto Actions on the after user registration trigger with a field action to force those fields toggled on for new users. For existing users simply set the value of that field using SQL against the _comprofiler database table.

2- Additionally, how do I make the top bar which includes the notification and message icons, visible on all CB pages including those I created menus for them? because it doesn't show except on the profile page. (attached a screeshot)

You can display it anywhere you like using the CB Activity Module and its Notifications display mode. Additionally you can use CB Activity Bot and substitution it in anywhere Joomla content plugins are supported.

I didn't change any settings, I installed the quick start package before and that's it. Taking into consideration that I'm still new with CB, I don't really know how to or where is. so I really don't understand what do you mean by setting them to be dependent on a CB field!!!

Within CB Activity > Parameters > Notifications > Notify are the notifications set to Enabled or are they set to a field name in the dropdown? If they're set to Enabled then they're just always on. If they're set to a field name then the user must toggle that notification on within their profile edit page by adjusting that field.
