Events Management

Pardon my ignorance, but I cannot figure out how to implement Events. 
I have installed the GroupJive plugin and tried to add a Menu item too, but I am lost.
How do I add it to Tabs, or menu or ??
Maybe I need a very basic explanation on how it works. 
Please advise.

CB GroupJive Events are events for groups. It's not a general event extension. So events are created and managed from within groups. You should see a new Events tab within your groups.
