Username in private message

Username in private message was created by m.o.skirde
Hi there,

when creating a new private message the username has to be chosen. As we use our real names in our community, how can I avoid this/change to the real names?

Best regards from germany,

Names are not unique so you can't message by name. Username is basically display name or handle. Think of it like @name on other social media. It ideally should be publicly exposed somewhere (e.g. under profile name on profiles). They can also use the dropdown for selecting a connection if enabled.

In CB 3.0 when this is redesigned into a messenger application you'll have more options for messaging (e.g. like inline searching for a recipient by name).
