Is there any update on version 3.0?
I'm waiting on more info of what you have in store for Messaging / Chat functions and when?
My CB dominates my system but the messaging function is too hidden.
A site module would be great to enhance that function.
CB 3.0 development starts after CB Gallery 3.0 is released. CB Gallery 3.0 is nearly done.
CB 3.0 private messaging system is planned to be converted into a messenger. So it'll be like chat as you've seen on other social media and also won't be a plugin anymore, but just be built into CB. It'll include a module to support inline messaging as well as a messaging popup.
Note CB 3.0 will be dropping Joomla 3 support. So if you have not migrated to Joomla 4 at minimum I recommend doing so and ideally recommend going up to Joomla 5 sooner rather than later. We will be adopting a "last 2 major" release policy when it comes to supporting Joomla. So if Joomla 6 releases before CB 3.0 then Joomla 4 will possibly also be unsupported in CB 3.0.
