The menu item is not likely to be relevant here. Can the viewing user see that post in that group when they go to that group? If they cannot then that link is working as expected and it's the notification that's the problem as they shouldn't see that notification since they can't access that post. I've yet to find any issues with any of my GJ post notification links and I don't see any causes for this in the code itself.

Yes viewing user can see the post when going to the group... I've tested in all my CB websites now, the same thing is happening in all of them.
It's such a puzzle, I've never seen this before. I cannot imagine what is causing it.

Are these new notifications or existing notifications? Within backend in CB Activity > Notifications what is the asset of the notifications not working?

Both new and existing - in some websites posts, likes and comments are affected, in others only posts are affected, comments and likes links are working.
The asset is: groupjive.group.8 - (or whatever the group ID is)

Strange. Will keep digging to see if I can find a cause, but I don't see any issues thus far. Did you modify the CB GroupJive activity stream in CB Activity > Streams > Activity and apply any default filters?

No the only filter on assets is "all". but it's been that way all along.
I'll PM a login for super user in one of our devs. It's only got a few test users, so you can try things out.
