Setting of notifications in GroupJive

I am a bit lost with the setting of notifications in GroupJive. I checked the manual but it is screen captures :

In GJ Plugin/parameters there is a tab for notifications with some settings but the choice is message or email ( not the notification system) 

As a sub menu of GJ, the Notification label/button display the list of users who joined a group, all declared as "owner" (?) and for which there is a complete setting for notification . Does it mean we must personnalise for each user and each group ? If yes, notification are supposed to be sent to all group attendees ?

 

Group notifications are like that of other social media groups (mainly Facebook Group as they were designed after those). They are subscribed to per-user per-group. You should see in the dropdown of a group a Notifications link when viewing a group and that's where you subscribe to those. The settings in backend let you define what the default is for those notifications and some customization of the notification itself. The defaults are applied automatically when someone joins a group.

As for letting CB Activity handle the notifications that's possible. Within CB Activity > Parameters > Notifications find the CB GroupJive section. There you can set CB Activity to replace CB GroupJive notifications with an on-site notification or be in addition to GJs notification (e.g. so you can have email AND on-site if you wanted).

Ah OK, I did not notice that there was a menu for each user to set the notifications. So it's OK for me, I understand better the mechanism.... Thank you
