CB activity 'postdate' instead of 'days since'

6 years 11 months ago #300766 by pjfroelofs
The activity feed show the number of days, since the post was made.
That means, that after a month, a lot of posts have the same date.

Is it possible to change this to the 'post date'?

No, not without modifying the template files and adding conditional date display behavior. You can see the actual date on mouseover if a specific date is necessary, but for activity streams it's largely irrelevant to be completely accurate.

Replied by pjfroelofs on topic CB activity 'postdate' instead of 'days since'
LS

In our case, we would like to see the actual post date, and not the days since the post.
Could you help me with the filenames and html/php code to change this?

Thank you,
Patrick

We do not provide code edit assistance. The template files for CB Activity can be found at the below location.

/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbactivity/templates/default

Make a copy of the default template folder, rename it to something like "custom", then delete all the files you don't intend on changing. Next select it within CB Activity as the template to prevent changes being lost on update (note you will need to maintain your template file and check for changes with new releases).
