I know there's a permission setting somewhere to allow all logged-in users to like and comment on all other logged-in user's posts. Can you point me to it please.
By default connection checks are enabled for profile streams. So you've limited interactivity to profile posts outside of those you are connected to. This can be turned off by editing your activity and comment streams. Specifically the following.
First navigate to CB Activity > Streams > Activity > Profile Activity to edit the profile activity stream. Next under Display > Likes set "Connected Access" to "Disable". Do the same under Display > Share if you want to allow anyone to share profile posts as well. Also do the same under the Create tab if you want to allow anyone to post on anyone else's profile. It's all pretty modular here so adjust them however you like.
Now navigate to CB Activity > Streams > Comments > Profile Activity to edit the comment stream that profile activity uses. Then do the same as you did for your activity stream as it'll have similar parameters that do the same things except for the comments.
