uddeIM 1.9 beta 3 released / supports attachments

We use uddeIM for private messaging of confidential information. It would be extremely helpful to have subject lines; however, when you are in your inbox, you can see the first few words so that helps some.

I could not find the FAQ, but this site confuses me because I don't use CB. I did search. I can see how many users would not use a Subject line, but it depends a lot on the function. If you tested my users, 99% of them would use Subjects. I have 3 foster children and probably more than two dozen team members. Definitely could use more ways to organize messages. So I think it just depends.

Please do not think I am anything but grateful for this app. It does what we need, and I don't think there's anything else like it.

On the subject of features (sorry!), besides subject lines and print buttons, are you thinking of allowing sorts by date, sender, subject... And/or folders? Also options on how many messages to show on the Inbox (on the user's frontend).

You will find the FAQ in the README folder in the uddeIM package (should be already on your harddrive) or check the FAQ sticky for the current one.

I have changed my mind about the subject line. The first few words show up in the Inbox; if someone doesn't use a subject, at least you have a clue as to the topic.... I am using the first line as if it were a subject line anyway.

"Reply All" would be very nice, however, for team work.

We installed the 1.9 update and the Premium plugin and all looks well, except ... when we make attachments, the recipient gets the number of messages equal to the number of attachments (all messages contain all attachments). In other words, if we attach 1 file, the recipient gets 1 message with 1 file attached; if we attach 2 files, the recipient gets 2 messages - each message has both attachments; if we attach 3 files, the recipient gets 3 messages, each message has all three attachments.

We tested in both IE8 and FireFox, same result. We didn't find any other reference on the forum.

Yes, its a bug in the SQL query.

The message is stored only once but the query creates a superset

When you switch off "System->Show attachment icons" everything should be fine.

I will try to fix this...

This should fix the bug.

Could you check it please? It replaces includes.db.php.
