Can this be done?

So far I love uddeIM. I'm using it to develop a patient communication portal, so the fact that you encrypt was crucial in my decision to use uddeIM.

I'd like to restrict who our patients can send a message to to just a few recipient. Namely, Billing, Scheduling and Nursing.

I see that you can block users from show up in the user list, but I'd like to block all users by default and only allow those three. Is this possible?

Also, is there any way to make the To field on the compose window the Userlist dropdown. I have to assume our users aren't going to be savvy, so having them click on Show Users First, then pick the user, is too many steps.

Check the blocking tab, block all groups except the group in which these three people are members of.

is it possible to just have the "To:" field hard coded to go to the Administrator only? i've looked through the module and component configuration on joomla and looked through most of the .php files, but i can't find anything that will allow me to set it up.

Yes, sure. Create a link to uddeIM compose page with the user id that should be used. The FAQ explains all optional parameters.
