Bug in the display configuration

I'm using UddelM 2.4 and I have an issue with the display configuration in the back end. I want to change the width of the reply message box and I found in the back end the option for this.
It is said that I can choose the width (nb of columns with 60 by default) and the height (nb of lines with 10 by default).

I tried to change both parameters and the height is working well, but the width does not change anything.

So, I would like to know if some other users have found the same issue or if I missed something.

When it does not change anything you have to change your CSS files (either of the site template or uddeIM's CSS file).

You mean that my current css is blocking the width size function?

What kind of changes do I need to do?

Does that comes to the fact that the window for answering is a kind of "modular" window, which can be sized manually in the front end by the user?
