I've just installed uddieIM 2.5 for Joomla 1.7 on my site and everything looks/works great except for one thing (so far!). When "Composing" a new message, I do not see any message content area (place to type my message)! Attaching a screen shot...
I've tried each template for uddieIM and all do the same thing...
UPDATE: Turned OFF display of animated emoticons and then it appeared properly... There seems to be a bug with the animated emoticons display...?

It seems to be a site template issue. Please use the Web Developer Toolbar or Firebug in order to find the CSS tag that is responsible for the troubles.
