Make the "qoute" from textarea READONLY or hide it

Hi

In message details view, there is the textarea in the bottom of the page where user can write a reply, the textarea contains the "qoutes" of other replies/messages.... which user can actually delete and even worse change... which leads to a pretty chaos on page by "who and what" wrote..

So my question is, Is it possible to make the QUOTES in the textarea read-only or hide them?

Instead if hiding it you can switch of that the text is quoted at all.

Can you please tell me how can I do this?
