I know this isn't directly related but if i want to create a custom menu as i described below where would i start. I want to create a list on the left to go under the avatar.

It will just contain a few links. One being to the messages.

I just want to make it flow.

Any tips?

Thanks

For anyone interested, I had a user ask if it was possible to click on the usernames in the Who's online joomla module to PM them (a bit like clicking on the PM link in fireboard). If you knew people where online, you had to go round the houses either by looking for their username in the list of users on the compose page or go through their profile.

Now when you see a user online in the who's online module that comes standard with joomla you can just click on their username to be taken straight to your compose page with their name automatically filled in ready to write your message.

Myself and the users have found this to be very helpfull, in order to do this a patched who's online mod file needs to overwrite the original that comes default with joomla.

I altered this solely as a request from a user, and then thought it might come in handy, if anyone would like, just let me know.

This has only been tested with joomla 1.0.13 if you require it on any other version, the changes might need to be added manually, or I could probably adjust accordingly.

I use the mod whosonlinext

Description:

Extended Who's Online module with AJAX support for dynamic updating. Keeps track of how long users have been inactive, and indicates when they are away.

It work perfectly with uddeIM :)

The system messages that are sent to uddeIM shows the html tags unprocessed as

[code:1] some text ....[b /][/code:1]

Does anyone have a idea how to resolve this.

This are not HTML tags but BB tags.

uddeIM decodes these codes when
- the code is correct ([ b ] [ /b ]) and
- you have enabled BB codes in uddeIM.
