Uddeim 1.1. captcha not working?

Greetings,
Thumbs up for the component. However, suddenly (probably after changing write rights to some folders, not sure if it has anything to do) I don't see the captcha anymore.

Users can not reply to messages, captcha is required, but not displayed.

Can you help me with this?

When you have changed some folder permissions maybe the graphics library cannot longer access the temporary folder to create a picture.

I am also having a similar problem with the uddeim Captcha. For some reason the image will not display. I just get an x where the image should be. I have not changed any permissions. I have joomla 1.0.13.

Please try to find out the link to the picture and call it directly in your browser. What does it display?

Have you installed the GD library?
