i have a "little" problem. because i assumed no problems during the installation process of the uddeIM 1.3, i did not read the readme-file … what a big mistake. after the installation, i got a error message wich says, that config.class.php is not writable. after posting this problem here, slabbi gave me the hint to read the readme-file. to solve this problem, joomla 1.5.x users has to disable the ftp-activation. if not you can run into problems because wwwrun will be the owner of the configuration.php. and that’s my problem now. because the configuration.php is owned by wwwrun and not by the user, i can’t change anything in joomla.
You can fix your problem when you chmod the configuration file with your ftp client to 0777.
Btw: These are Joomla basics and every second topic on Joomla.org is about this problem. The ftp mode might be a good idea for some installations but most people should set their access rights correctly and install Joomla without using the ftp layer.
