When I try to write a Private message, than in the field "To" I see strange symbols (i.e. charset is wrong). Where and how I can fix it?
May be you tell me the file name?

I dont know were to write my questions :blush:

Question 1: How can i edit the language in uddeim 1.4. I have a problem with the "compose new message" link. It says _UDDEIM_COMPOSE and wont get translated to norwegian as the rest of the links.

Question 2: How can i get the "autocomplete" in UDDEIM to recognise non-english characters. Norwegian characters.

I have installed joomla 1.5.7

I have searched everywhere

You find the language files in
administrator/components/com_uddeim/language(.utf8)

The norwegian.php file is quite old, so some strings are not translated. Could you send me the file when you finished the translation, so I can add it to the package?

Usually the Autocompleter should work with international characters when utf8 is used. If not you could send me an auperadmin login to your site so I can test it. I need Extplorer installed in order to add some debug information the uddeIM files.

I have wasted so much time trying to figure this out. Thanks alot. The autocomplete function does not accept norwegian characters, but Im considering to reinstall everything cause I thin i have made a mess in the codes.

2 more questions :dry:

1. The errorpage appears when i try to reply a message (but not when i send it). The reply is sent though :S

2. CB question: When I try to upload profilepicture (avatarpicture) the error page sometimes appears and no picture seems to be uploaded. But when i, as administrator, check comprofiler i find the image?!?
