UddeIM and Birthday

There is a long pending request from all user since 1 1/2 years about automatic sending emails to members on their birthdays.

I feel only person who can do it is the developer of UddeIM slabbi. It will be great if UddeIM supports sending of Automatic email to the user on their birthday.

Any possibility of development and integration in future?

This is not possible since Joomla's user database does not store birthdays.

It might be possible to add birthdays to the user configuration but so the user has to set his birthdays thre and maybe in CB if used.

The best solution would be a pugin for CB which checks birthdays regulary and creates a message for these users (like Autowelcome plugin does). The only issue is hat this plugin has to remember if it has send a message to a certain user (e.g. adding a field "lastbirthdayyearsent" which indicates the last year a message was created for).

Sure, there are some CB plugin coders in this forum so maybe someone will write a CB plugin for that purpose.

This would be really & easy thing to do.
the problem is that nothing can trigger the sending of that email, besides maybe an actual profile view...


maybe I'm wrong?
any1 knows about a better trigger for this?

Why not create a plugin and component that is on the administrator side of joomla...such that the administrator would have to click a button once a month to send "Birthday Coupons" to everyone who has a birthday in a given month.
