'Quick messages' (profile area) was the same as above until I went to:
UddeIM private message system > message tab > 'allow BB Code tag':
Where I changed 'font family only' to 'NO'.
The resulting 'Quick messages' now only have html bold tags enclosing the message titles, example:

[bold tag]Message from your profile view[/closing bold tag]

The only messages that appear without html tags anywhere are those generated from mailbox component (accessed via menu).
Don't really want to reinstall at this stage as previous member stated.
