[SOLVED] Undefined variable: gid...line 786 & 792

15 years 9 months ago #83982 by ichuzchrist
I'm having a problem with uddeIM and CB. I get the following error messages when viewing a CB member profile page:

Notice: Undefined variable: gid in /mysite/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_pmsuddeim/pms.uddeim.php on line 786

Notice: Undefined variable: gid in /mysite/components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_pmsuddeim/pms.uddeim.php on line 792

I've probably configured something wrong. . . .

Its a bug, not a serious one.

Just replace "$gid" with "$this->mygroupid".

The funny part is that the mod also works correctly with this bug.

Hello,

I'm encountering the same problem. I tried to replace the variable but it seems that editing the php-file with my windows text editor somehow changes the file in a way which makes it unusable.
Can you please tell me in which format (ANSI, unicode etc.) to save the php file after editing? Do I have to use a special program to solve this bug?

Thank you very much in advance!
Robert

Use Windows Notepad to edit it or wait for uddeIM 1.6. The bug is not serious.

Thank you! I have resolved my problem by using a PHP editor, which is open source as well: PSPad.
