(NO BUG) bug with realnames

when i select realnames in the cofiguration when someone try to send a message from fireboard , if there is 2 loila , the all messages goes to first loila

That is not a bug, it is a documented limitation. You have to ensure that realnames are unique.

may you tell me if there is a way
to show in the inbox and outbox realnames but make system send and recieve messages with usernames , i try look in uddeim inbox.php but i screwed up. :silly:

When Joomla allows non-unique realnames, uddeIM has no possibility to distinguish between them.

When you type in "John Doe" and you have three "John Doe"s in the Joomla user database uddeIM has no other possibilty it must use the first one found.

As I said before when you allow registrations with the same realname, you have to switch to usernames which are unique.

When you have set uddeIM to use realnames you can still enter usernames in the recpient field. When no realname is found it checks for the username.

but in my site people just not send meesages by tyiping users names or real names they just come from fireboard link ,if there is an user id in the links why uddeim still search for names , instead of just sending meesages the id in the link
