mod_uddeim_new

Hi I really enjoy uddeim, my only complaint is the fact that the new messages mod is event driven (you have to refresh, or change pages in order for the status to change).
Is it possible to add Ajax functionality to this mod, so that every few seconds the module reloads itself? I have been trying to get into Ajax, but as of right now I just don't have the skillz to do this :blush:

Anybody out there know a good simple autoreloading module that I can check out?

I noticed at www.joomlaratings.com that the site is refreshing all the time. I think it is annoying but maybe you can ask Alejo what he is using over there, if anything. I only noticed it because I have my sound on and can here a mouse click every 15 seconds.
